Responsible for the planning and execution of the day to day activities for Paint Department and employees to ensure product is moved through production in the most cost effective and safe manner.
Directs, coordinates, andplans staffing schedules to ensure the Paint Department operates to obtain optimum use of equipment, facilities and personnel. Closely coordinates with the Quality Department & Logistics Department to ensure error free and customer product on-time delivery (COTD).
Demonstrated experience in paint application processes—such as wet paint, powder coating, electrostatic/vertical painting, or other industrial coating methods. (required)
- Minimum 3–5 years of leadership experience, with a demonstrated ability to hold subordinate managers and supervisors accountable for training, including monthly required training and refreshing team members’ JSAs and LOTO procedures. (required)
- Support and actively participate in safety systems such as Walk, Observe, Communicate (WOCs), Injury Free Events (IFEs), and touch audits.
- Ensure completion of all daily safety inspections, including mobile equipment, light curtains, cranes, torches, welders, fire extinguishers, ladders, and eyewash stations within the area of responsibility.
- Ensure accurate and timely entry of paint usage data into the ERA system.
- Work with sales and customers to develop new business opportunities and/or introduce new colors.
- Promote and maintain a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with safety standards and proactively addressing risks (derived from the overall safety‑focused responsibilities in multiple bullet points).
