Manufacturing Engineer
Wilson Trailer Company is seeking an Engineering Intern for our Gooseneck product line for the 2026 summer months at our manufacturing plant located in Yankton, SD. Wilson Trailer Company is an industry leader in the truck trailer industry and individuals will gain valuable experience and knowledge in Engineering.
Position SummaryUnder regular supervision, the Engineering Intern collects, stores, updates and maintains accurate data in company systems. Administrative duties such as pulling reports, creating and updating internal communications, and working with other departments on research requests and projects.
Essential Functions- Provide general office support for all Engineering staff in all locations.
- Manage data pertaining to general operations of Engineering, Purchasing and Manufacturing.
- Assist in item master and bill of material (BOM) creation and accuracy; runs checking programs daily.
- Create and distribute internal communications, as directed.
- Participate in special projects regarding software upgrades, supply chain, data cleanup and others.
- Will help move Creole models over to Solidworks.
- College Freshman or Sophomore status preferred.
- Possibility of minimal overnight travel.
- Able to work in heavy manufacturing environment.
- Must wear safety-toed boots, hard hat, & ear plugs while on work floor.
Yankton - Monday thru Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm (40-hour work week)
Pay:This is a non-exempt position paid weekly on Fridays. Time worked in excess of 40 hours in a work-week is paid at time and one-half.
