Overview
Director Cardiac & Critical Care - Live Near Beautiful MT. Rainier - Full-time position at a 214-bed Medical Center in Washington. The hospital provides a full complement of services including open-heart surgery, advanced imaging, comprehensive robotics, state-of-the-art neurosurgery, and CARF-accredited inpatient rehabilitation ranked in the Top 10 percent of the nation. Staffed by approximately 750 full and part-time employees, the hospital offers a wide array of inpatient and outpatient services.
The facility includes one of only two single-stay cardiac units in the state and is a Level I Cardiac and Level II Stroke center, with a Level III trauma designation, with ongoing investment in technology.
Provides, promotes, and supports a professional environment that utilizes effective delegation of responsibility. Assists and supports managers in achieving department goals. Collaborates with ancillary departments to achieve care goals. Reports to Chief Nursing Officer.
Unit Descriptions- Cardiovascular Thoracic Unit (CVTU) - a 12-bed unit providing care for patients requiring or having previously had surgery on the organ of the thoracic cavity, including heart, lungs or the great vessels. Other patients requiring ICU, cardiac monitoring or other nursing services are admitted as beds are available.
- Intensive Care Unit (ICU) - provides care for critically ill patients and includes cardiac monitoring, ventilation support, vasopressor drugs, and thrombolytic agents. The population includes patients requiring intensive surgical, cardiac, respiratory, trauma, neuro, and unstable hemodynamic care. This is a 13-bed unit.
- Cardiac Catheterization Lab – three cath lab rooms and five-bay recovery area. Provides diagnostic procedures and interventional cardiac procedures:

Diagnostic and Interventional peripheral procedures utilizing Atherectomy - •
Vena cava filter placement and removal; G-Tube placement - •
EP studies including ablations
Washington State RN License, experience preferred. Three to five years of experience as a head nurse or staff nurse with demonstrated administrative and supervisory ability is preferred. Critical Care experience preferred.
