Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a NICU position requiring a minimum of 3 years of experience, strong IV skills, and vent experience for a 13-week night shift contract in Yakima, WA.

• Work in the NICU (Unit 3N) of an acute care hospital setting
• Patient population includes neonates from 26 weeks gestational age and higher
• Manages patients on Bubble CPAP and ventilators (no oscillators)
• Performs and assists with central line procedures including UAC, PICC, and UVC placement
• Provides NAS care including eat/sleep/console treatment and morphine wean protocols
• Familiar with Bubble CPAP, high flow, nasal cannula, and neo puff equipment
• EMR:
  Epic
• 12-hour night shifts (1900–0730), with day shift availability (0700–1930)
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend rotation required
• May float to Mother Baby and other units in a 1:1 or NAC capacity
• First-time travelers may be considered with significant NICU experience
• Scrubs are provided in navy blue; NICU and Peds staff may wear personal scrubs but must follow OR suite guidelines when attending deliveries
• Clinical interview conducted via Simpli Fi platform

• Active WA RN license or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required
• Minimum 3 years of NICU experience required
• Strong IV skills required
• Ventilator experience required
• Two references from a supervisor or above (Charge Nurse, Manager, Director, or equivalent) required for consideration, though one reference may be submitted initially
