Child and Family Therapist

Provides clinical mental health services to children, families, and adults in an outpatient community mental health clinic, client homes, or community-based locations such as schools. Responsibilities include intakes, diagnosis, case management, and mental health treatment services to identified clients.

Work Schedule: Monday‑Friday business hours; must work two nights per week until 7 pm.

• Provide intake assessments, diagnosis, and ongoing culturally sensitive treatment to children, families, and adults using evidence‑based practices.
• Complete required documentation within specified time frames.
• Develop clinical treatment plans focusing on client strengths, culture, needs, and goals within the briefest time frame for successful achievement.
• Maintain encounters/productivity of 60 % of reportable/billable services.
• Participate in ongoing continuous quality improvement to ensure services provided meet best practice standards and contractual requirements.
• Actively participate in individual and group supervision, clinical staff meetings, and other multi‑disciplinary meetings.
• Staff cases requiring specialist consultations and psychiatric consultation as required.
• Coordinate client treatment with schools, physicians, and other community resources and referrals to community services whenever necessary.
• Observe confidentiality in all related program functions with staff and clients.
• Establish and maintain working relationships with other community mental health providers, primary care, and other referral sources.
• Provide routine services and on‑call coverage outside of standard business hours if required by assigned program or team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements: Standing, walking, bending, lifting or performing other low physical exertion tasks up to 80 % of the time. Ability to drive with adequate vision.

Physical Requirements:

• Master’s degree in social work, counseling, clinical psychology, or related field eligible for clinical licensure.
• Two years of experience working with children, families, adults in a professional outpatient setting.
• Valid Washington driver’s license and minimum required liability insurance for WA State.
• Must be deemed insurable as determined by Catholic Charities liability insurance provider.
• Operate from a strengths‑based perspective.
• Strong clinical assessment skills and knowledge.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and documentation skills.
• Provide service in a culturally sensitive manner.
• Work independently and as a team member, collaborate with referral sources, represent agency professionally.
• Bilingual in English & Spanish preferred.

License Requirements:

• Licensed level: Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT), Independent Clinical Social Work (LICSW) license in Washington State. Salary: $85,000 – $95,000 per year (exempt).
• MHP level: LMHCA, LMFTA, LICSWA, LAAC in Washington State. Salary: $38.46 – $43.27 per hour (non‑exempt).

Conditional upon clearance by criminal background check and fingerprinting, compliance with policy on disclosure of outside employment.

Monday – Friday business hours; must work two nights until 7 pm.

Wage Range: $38.46 – $45.67 per hour, depending on experience and credentials.
Relocation Assistance: up to $5,000 for relocations over 50 miles.
