Your impactAs a Seasonal General Roads Inspectors/Materials Testers
, you’ll join a collaborative team ensuring that our clients can deliver their services – uninterrupted. We have opportunities for Inspectors in various locations within Washington state, so if you are looking for a new adventure where you’ll inspect construction methods and workmanship and materials testing to ensure that contractors build roadways, bridges, traffic signals and related highway structures in accordance with plans and specifications, submit your application for consideration.
We are looking for individuals with all levels of Concrete Testing Certification, DTT – In Place Density Testing.
- Observe and inspect ongoing construction work.
- Review plans and specifications to ensure that work is within compliance of plans and specifications.
- Complete pay sheets for actual work completed.
- Conduct laboratory sampling.
- Maintain daily reporting of work in progress, status of completion, and discusses construction related problems with supervisor.
This position will mostly be a seasonal assignment based in Washington – Yakima, WA area estimation will be 6-9 months.
Compensation Rate $30-$50 an hour (based on experience).
As a project‑specific employee (Seasonal), you are not eligible for severance pay under the Company's Severance Pay Plan and will not be paid severance pay at the termination of your project employment, irrespective of any prior severance‑eligible service.
Here's what you'll need- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience in construction inspection for transportation projects.
- Valid Driver’s license and required to have and maintain a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to move up to 50 pounds.
- Able and willing to work day or night shifts and/or flexible schedules including weekends as required.
- Ability to read and interpret roadway, structure, and bridge plans, and specifications.
- Currently possess the following certifications: ACI – Grade 1.
- Concrete Testing Certification, DTT.
- In Place Density Testing, and EBTT.
- Embankment and Base Testing.
- Currently possess or obtain WSDOT CICP Certification within 30 calendar days of hire.

The base salary range for this position is $32.00 to $55.00; though it will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
