Shift Lead

Base Pay$17.00/hr – $20.00/hr
Responsibilities- Open and close the store in absence of store management, including system start‑ups, cash handling, and ensuring the floor and stock room are ready for the business day.
- Complete product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe, and provide change as requested to cash registers.
- Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
- Engage customers and patients by greeting them, offering assistance, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive experience.
- Hold store keys to open and close without management when necessary.
- Assist and coach team members with warehouse and vendor ordering processes, including opening backdoors for vendor deliveries.
- Register all sales on the assigned cash register, documenting scanning errors, price verifications, items not on file, price modifications, and voids.
- Assist management with reviewing order exceptions, reverse logistics, and evaluating displays for promotions, seasonal merchandise, and supervising sales resets.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and ensure proper pricing and signage compliance.
- Assist with bookkeeping activities, cash reports, cash counts, ledgers, and bill payment.
- Support exterior and interior maintenance, ensuring a clean, orderly store condition and arranging repairs as needed.
- Help with food item separation, placement, and stock rotation using first‑in, first‑out.
- Assist at the pharmacy out window as requested.
- Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
- Check team members’ bags before leaving the store.
- Comply with all company policies, maintain respectful relationships with coworkers, and complete special assignments as assigned.
- Attend training and complete required professional development.
- Serve as a liaison between management and non‑management team members, communicating tasks and reporting disciplinary issues or customer complaints.
- One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder experience.
- Fluent reading, writing, and speaking in English (except in Puerto Rico).
- Knowledge of store inventory control.
- Consideration of applicants with prior arrest or conviction records.
- Valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state.
