As the Speech Therapist in Home Health, you will assess and evaluate patient care needs related to speech and language disorders, functional training in communication, swallowing, and cognitive impairments. Based on this assessment you will develop treatment plans, perform interventions to improve patient well‑being, and evaluate progress.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Provide services within the scope of practice as defined by state laws, in accordance with the plan of care and in coordination with other healthcare team members.
  • Evaluate the patient’s level of function by applying diagnostic and prognostic functional ability tests and assist the physician in developing the therapy plan of care.
  • Treat patients to communicate effectively by expressing thoughts according to the patient’s condition using acceptable standards of practice.
  • Observe, record, and report to the supervising nurse and/or physician the patient’s response to treatment and changes in the patient’s condition.
  • Instruct the patient, family, caregiver, and other healthcare team members in areas of speech therapy in which they can participate.

Required Qualifications
  • Licensed in Speech Therapy in the state of residence.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Current driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.

Pay is based on several factors including local labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications. In addition to your salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, and 401(k) contribution (subject to eligibility). The salary range for this role is $71,200 to $127,200 annually for full‑time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
