Cost Accountant

Job Title: Cost Accountant
Location: Wyomissing, PA

A well-established manufacturing company in the Wyomissing, PA area is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Accountant to join its finance team. This role will play a key part in supporting manufacturing operations through accurate product costing, inventory analysis, and financial reporting.

• Develop, maintain, and analyze product costing
• Perform monthly inventory reconciliations (GL to subledger)
• Assist with physical inventory and cycle counts
• Conduct variance analysis (actual vs. budget/forecast)
• Prepare margin analysis and manufacturing KPI reporting
• Calculate and review labor and overhead rates
• Prepare cost-related journal entries and support month‑end close
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
• Support audits and compliance requirements
• Identify cost savings and process improvement opportunities

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3‑5 years of manufacturing cost accounting experience
• Strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIF/S)
• Experience with ERP systems (Navision or similar preferred)
• Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and financial statement analysis
• Lean manufacturing experience a plus
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
