The main purpose and function of the electrician is to ensure the electrical equipment is maintained to the highest level to allow for maximum operation when needed.
Responsibilities- Ensure plant electrical equipment is safe and compliant.
- Verify plant and equipment are available for operation.
- Ensure plant electrical equipment is thoroughly inspected before startup.
- Fill in for other positions when needed.
- Communicate with all employees about unsafe conditions and/or maintenance needed.
- Repair all electrical equipment to last for the long haul.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems.
- Support and participate in the organization’s Continual Improvement Program to conform to API Specification Q1, 9th Edition requirements by complying with the Quality Policy and procedures and meeting QMS objectives.
- Other duties as assigned as allowed by the CBA.
- Basic math, reading, and writing skills.
- Journeyman or master’s License required.
- Mechanical experience preferred.
- 4 years of Electrical experience required.
- Experience working in an API Specification Q1, 9th Edition environment a plus.
- Knowledge of electrical circuits and codes.
- Forklift operation.
- Ability to complete reports/records in a timely manner.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to maintain a safe, clean, environmentally sound work area.
- Record keeping.
- Communication skills, including peer to peer and employee to supervisor communication and interpersonal skills.

- Rotating shift work.
- Ability to work from heights.
- Subject to dust, noise, and temperature variations.
- Frequently work around machinery and mobile equipment.
- Frequently work in inclement weather.

- Sitting, bending, standing, walking 8-12 hours per day.
- Ability to lift 50lbs frequently and up to 100lbs occasionally.
- Must comply with any safety or PPE requirements.

- Produce error-free work.
- Deadline-oriented.
- Self-starter who thinks of innovative, faster ways to accomplish tasks.
- Work with minimal supervision.
- Flexible and able to adapt to our dynamic environment.
