Location: Sundance
Job Title: Living Room - Server (Age 21+)
Reports To: Lead Captain Server
Rate of Pay: $12.00/hr + Tips
Shift: Part-time Year Round
Variable AM/PM shifts Sunday through Saturday
Weekends and holidays required
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt/Hourly
SummaryThe Server provides an elevated level of service in the Hotel Lounge, ensuring every guest experience reflects Sundance's standards of authenticity, craftsmanship, and understated luxury. This role delivers warm, intuitive hospitality, maintains a polished presence, and upholds the quality and consistency that define the Sundance brand.
Essential Functions- Provide attentive, timely, and knowledgeable service to every guest.
- Coordinate with the kitchen and bar to ensure accuracy, pacing, and presentation.
- Set up and break down the lounge to maintain cleanliness and readiness.
- Monitor stock and par levels for assigned areas and communicate needs promptly.
- Engage with guests authentically, anticipating needs and ensuring satisfaction.
- Handle payments and maintain accurate records of sales and transactions.
- Follow all service standards and procedures to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Prepare and present beverages to company standards.
- Follow recipes and maintain exceptional product presentation.
- Educate guests on menu offerings, products, and services.
- Understand and comply with Utah alcohol laws and resort policies.
- Serve alcohol responsibly and complete all required documentation.
- Communicate beverage options clearly and confidently to guests.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
- Restock supplies and ensure all equipment is in good working order.
- Support teammates as needed to ensure seamless service.
- High School Diploma or equivalent; hospitality coursework preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in upscale or boutique hotel dining required.
- Strong communication, attentiveness, and guest service skills.
- Must meet Utah alcohol certification requirements.
- Professional, polished, and composed in a luxury service setting.
- Genuine appreciation for detail-oriented and guest-focused hospitality.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
