Overview
If you have a passion for history and an interest in museums, Wyoming State Parks and Cultural Resources may be for you. The Quebec 01 Missile Alert Facility is seeking seasonal employees. Located north of Cheyenne on the Wyoming prairie, Quebec 01 is a deactivated missile alert facility operated by the U.S. Air Force from 1962 to 2004. It is one of Wyoming’s newer historic sites with an intriguing history.
The employment season typically runs from mid-April to the end of September. Some seasonal positions may begin earlier and extend longer into the fall. These are 40-hour-per-week seasonal positions.

Responsibilities- Present interpretive programs, such as historical tours, explaining the history of Quebec 01.
- Lead school tours, adult tours, and other institutional tours.
- Greet visitors, collect admission and gift shop fees, reconcile cash at shift end, and assist with gift shop inventory.
- Perform basic office duties, including answering phone messages and returning calls.
- Keep the site Superintendent advised of all issues with the site.
- Work with volunteers on various projects and duties.
- Perform basic housekeeping tasks: dusting, arranging furniture, vacuuming, and cleaning public restrooms as needed.
- Perform basic outdoor duties such as snow shoveling and lawn maintenance.
- Assist the Superintendent with collections management as needed.
- Perform opening and closing duties.
- Assist all sites in the Laramie District with special projects and events as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned and required.
Preferences/Agency Requirements
For all seasonal positions, preference will be given to applicants who are professional while providing excellent customer service.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
Knowledge
- Detail-oriented, accurate, and thorough in completing assignments/tasks.
- Good interpersonal skills for interacting with visitors from around the world.
- Willingness to work on a variety of assignments every day.
- Experience handling money, cash registers, and retail sales.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to manage and complete multiple projects with variable timelines and scopes of work.
- Basic construction and maintenance knowledge.
- Basic operational knowledge of light and heavy equipment use, and hand and power tools.
- Basic safety awareness of equipment use.

- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds, with or without assistance.
