WhatYou'll Do
- Ensure the restaurant is opened in a timely and orderly fashion, maintaining a smooth operation throughout service.
- Supervise restaurant staff, including Servers, Bussers, and Room Service Servers, and oversee culinary operations.
- Assign specific duties to staff to ensure efficient restaurant operation and high standards of service.
- Ensure all associates have the necessary supplies, equipment, and uniforms to perform their duties effectively.
- Order and manage inventory, complete payroll as directed, and project par levels for kitchen operations.
- Prepare and manage staff schedules, ensuring compliance with breaks and work hours.
- Assist in training new associates and cross‑training existing team members according to the Certification Program, ensuring completion of certification requirements.
- Participate in the interviewing and hiring process for new associates in the department.
- Address routine associate issues as they arise and upscale any concerns to the General Manager, making recommendations for progressive discipline when necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall operation of the restaurant.
- A strong commitment to providing the highest quality of service and a proactive approach to anticipating and exceeding guest expectations
- Knowledge of the White Lodging/brand basics and understanding of the Hotel Improvement Plan.
- Excellent leadership and supervisory skills, with experience managing a restaurant team.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail, particularly regarding inventory and scheduling.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to foster a collaborative team environment.
