Overview
Regional Field Manager - Cheyenne at Americans for Prosperity (AFP). AFP is a grassroots organization focused on finding bipartisan solutions to America’s biggest challenges. As a Regional Field Manager (internally referred to as a Grassroots Engagement Director) you will identify, recruit, and engage grassroots leaders in Cheyenne, Rock Springs, or Sheridan, mobilize them to take action, and drive policy reforms that open opportunities for all.
Responsibilities- Identify activists in various parts of the state who are currently – or could become – leaders in their local communities, as elected officials or citizen organizers, and motivate them to advocate for change.
- Equip local leaders to advocate for changes consistent with AFP principles by connecting them to AFP training and resources.
- Organize events where you and other activists engage the public through phone calls, social media, and neighborhood walks to educate them on public policy issues and initiatives.
- Maintain regular contact with activists to keep them motivated, educated, and active.
- Manage part‑time canvassing contractors, including time management, compliance with laws and regulations, and best practices.
- Passion for people and ability to build relationships quickly with people from all walks of life.
- Knowledge of state and federal public policy landscapes.
- Self‑motivation and a drive to use time efficiently to accomplish objectives.
- Organization skills and ability to keep multiple events and activities on track for yourself and the people you engage.
- Team‑player who works well with AFP staff and activists.
- Excitement to canvass neighborhoods, make phone calls for AFP priority initiatives and AFP Action‑endorsed candidates, and motivate and coordinate volunteers to do the same.
- A valid driver’s license to travel as needed to meet with people in your area and across the state.
- Willingness to work a flexible and changing schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Integrity, humility, and an entrepreneurial attitude.

- Experience in grassroots advocacy, community organization, and/or political campaigns.
- Volunteer or staff supervisory experience.
