Join Wyoming State Parks for a summer of adventure and teamwork in beautiful Guernsey State Park. Guernsey State Park is located just miles from Guernsey, WY. It offers boating, hiking, mountain biking, and historical sites including the Oregon Trail and Civilian Conservation Corps.
The park seeks enthusiastic staff for maintenance, visitor services in fee booths, and in the museum. Housing may be provided.

The employment season is typically from mid-May to mid-September. Some seasonal positions may begin earlier or extend longer into the fall. The actual length of employment depends on the work location and the type of job performed.
Housing may be provided.
The information below describes the essential functions and duties for the seasonal positions offered at Guernsey State Park.
Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesSeasonal Visitor Services Associate – Fee Collector, Fee Supervisor
- Greet visitors and provide excellent customer service.
- Answer visitor questions and provide information about the site, including interpretation and orientation of facilities and local points of interest.
- Collect admission fees and handle monetary transactions, including cash register reconciliation.
- Restock gift shop shelves and track inventory.
- Answer a multi-line telephone system and transfer calls to appropriate personnel.
- Assist with general administrative duties, reports, and data entry.
- Perform opening and closing duties, janitorial services, and light maintenance as needed.
- Assist all North Platte District sites with special projects and events.
Seasonal Maintenance Worker
- Perform routine building, grounds, and landscape maintenance, minor carpentry repairs, painting, and mowing.
- Assist with construction, installation, maintenance, renovation of grounds and buildings, and preventive maintenance.
- Clean and service restrooms, shelters, buildings, and remove litter from grounds and public areas.
- Operate and/or drive a variety of vehicles, including light and heavy equipment.
- Operate maintenance equipment (mowers, trimmers, leaf blowers, chainsaws, etc.) and use hand and power tools.
- Follow proper handling and safety procedures for cleaning chemicals and fuels; use appropriate PPE.
- Provide excellent customer service and assist the public with basic questions.
- Assist all North Platte District sites with special projects and events.
Seasonal Visitor Services Associate - Museum Attendant
- Greet visitors and provide excellent customer service.
- Answer questions and provide information about the site, including interpretation and orientation of facilities and local points of interest.
- Lead informational tours, lead programs, hands-on activities, and other special projects and events—individually or with other staff.
- Perform opening and closing duties and janitorial services at the museum facility.
- Assist with recordkeeping, reports, and data entry.
PREFERENCES/AGENCY REQUIREMENTS

For all seasonal positions, preference may be given to applicants who are professional while providing excellent customer service.
- Must have a valid driver s license.
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
Knowledge
- Detail-oriented, accurate, and thorough in completing assignments/tasks.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to interact with visitors from around the world.
- Willingness to work on a variety of assignments every day.
- Experience handling money, cash registers, and retail sales.
- Must possess excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to manage and complete multiple projects with variable timelines and scopes of work.
- Basic construction and maintenance knowledge.
- Basic operational knowledge of light and heavy equipment, and hand and power tools.
- Basic safety awareness of equipment use.
