We are seeking a skilled and proactive Infra Ops Engineer to join our IT Operations team. This role is responsible for maintaining , optimizing , and securing our infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems administration, automation, cloud technologies, database operations, and identity management.
What you will be doingInfrastructure and Cloud Operations
- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot servers, storage, and network systems.
- Deploy and manage resources in Azure/AWS/AVD.
- Implement cloud governance, cost optimization, and scaling strategies.
- Administer and maintain MSSQL and Azure SQL databases.
- Monitor performance and manage backups and restores.
- Implement efficient user and group-based access control using SQL Server roles and Active Directory integration.
- Ensure least-privilege access and regularly audit permissions.
- Manage user identities and group memberships across Active Directory and Azure AD.
- Implement role-based access control (RBAC) for infrastructure and database resources.
- Collaborate with Security and Compliance teams to enforce access policies.
- Automate infrastructure tasks using Power Shell, Bash, Python, or Terraform.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure provisioning.
- Apply patches and updates to infrastructure components.
- Manage firewalls, access controls, and vulnerability scans.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Proven experience in infrastructure operations or systems administration.
- Strong knowledge of Windows server environments.
- Strong experience with Microsoft cloud platforms:
Azure, Entra, Exchange Online. - Experience in SSO and application setup on Azure/Entra.
- Experience in Microsoft Defender administration.
- Experience in backup & restore systems, preferably Veeam.
- Management of virtual environments such as AVD, Docker, AWS
- Experience in scripting and automation tools i.e. Power Shell, Bash, Python.
- Understanding of networking, firewalls, and security best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Certifications such as Azure Administrator, AWS Sys Ops, or RHCE.
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of ITSM/ITIL practices and service management tools.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible).
- Experience with Microsoft SQL and Azure SQL database administration
