The client’s organization offers 1:1 patient to PT/PTA/OT for a patient care service. The organization is known for being a great team and friendly environment with a LOW PATIENT LOAD per week when compared to other PT organizations so that both the PTs/PTAs/OTs are spending as much time as one hour per patient.

This Physical Therapist role has an immediate leading opportunity for our client’s organization.

Our client’s mission is to always do what is best for the patient, and it is a 70 years of therapy center with over 6+ locations. It has become known as one of Wyoming’s finest rehabilitation facilities.

Our client offers physical, occupational, psychological and massage therapies. They also have a large fitness and wellness center complete with climbing wall, youth area and all the equipment you’ll need to get in the best shape of your life. Our client provides services for a variety of patients ranging from children to our senior populations, post-surgical to non-surgical, hospital, and home health.

As a Physical Therapist, you'll work closely with patients to improve their movement and manage pain. Physical Therapists are a critical part of rehabilitation, treatment, and prevention for patients with injuries or chronic issues. Some job duties include: assessing the patient's health history, diagnosing their functions and movements, and developing and implementing a specialized care plan for their benefit.

$39.00 - $45.00 per hour (D.O.E. and Certifications)

POSITION SUMMARY

The Physical Therapist will be responsible and accountable for the direct care of patients. This position requires a licensed, qualified physical therapist who meets all educational and licensing requirements as provided in Federal and State Law. (42 CFR 484.4; 42 CFR 485.705; W.S. 33-25-101 through 115.) The Physical Therapist will work closely with other members of the Physical Therapy Department and will assist in supervising the Physical Therapy Assistants, Therapy Techs, Students, and Volunteers as appropriate.

DEPARTMENT - SUPERVISOR

Physical Therapy - Reports to the Executive Director with Oversight by the Medical Director and Executive Director

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Evaluates patients through medical records review as appropriate, utilizes appropriate evaluation techniques and clinical observation
  • Applies skills learned during academic training, educational programs, and practical experience to evaluate patient/family needs and to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals to include discharge planning.
  • Demonstrates competency in patient assessment, goal setting, and development and implementation of treatment plans to meet these goals. Maintains appropriate documentation according to policy. Evaluates effectiveness of plan and modifies and/or terminates as indicated.
  • Demonstrates good interpersonal skills when interacting with families, physicians, patients and others involved in a patient’s care to promote an environment of cooperation and respect. Provides sensitivity to those aspects of human behavior which affect the balance of the working environment. Initiates appropriate behavior to affect change.
  • Provides relevant information at meetings such as team and family conferences, home health conferences, rehab clinic meetings and others as necessary.
  • Maintains current knowledge of therapy techniques appropriate to patients via the attendance of in-service classes and the appropriate amount of continuing education courses as required for licensure for the Physical Therapy Licensing Board.
