- Perform complex and specialized accounting to ensure all accounting activities, reports, and procedures follow GAAP and GASB.
- Review and analyze accounting records to identify and resolve financial report discrepancies.
- Open new manager accounts approved by the Investment Funds Committee (IFC) and the State Loan and Investment Board (SLIB), and close them when liquidation has occurred.
- Prepare letters of direction for the custodial bank as needed.
- Compile, manage, and reconcile monthly and quarterly reports for internal and external use.
- Assist with reconciling investment reports by pool and manager statements to the custodial bank.
- Assist with data required to complete the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) and Treasurer’s Annual Report.
- Develop and maintain formal procedures in the division’s job duties spreadsheet, and serve as a backup for positions as needed.
Preference will be given to candidates with an accounting degree and experience in the financial or investment industries.
Knowledge- Extensive communication, problem‑solving, and personal interaction skills focused on confidentiality.
- Knowledge of complex investment strategies including equities, fixed income, alternatives, and derivatives.
- General finance and banking practices.
- High‑level skills with investment accounting software.
- Knowledge of financial and organizational analysis.
- Knowledge of GAAP and GASB.
- Strong attention to detail; strong follow‑up and follow‑through.
- Strong multitasking and prioritization skills.
- Great organizational skills and the ability to implement them in the office.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree (typically in Finance)
Experience1‑2 years of progressive work experience (typically in Finance) with acquired knowledge at the level of an Accounting Analyst.

4‑6 years of progressive work experience (typically in Finance) with acquired knowledge at the level of an Accounting Analyst.
