Financial Analyst, Financial Consultant
As part of Centene’s mission to transform community health, we are hiring an Associate Actuary to support Medicare financial forecasting, actuarial analyses, and bid support. The role is designed for professionals who have recently earned their ASA designation and are looking to advance their actuarial career with a national organization that values flexibility, collaboration, and impact.
Location and ScheduleApplicants may work remotely from anywhere within the continental United States. The ideal schedule aligns with Eastern or Central time zones, though flexibility is acceptable.
Position PurposeProduce quarterly Medicare financial forecasts and conduct analysis, pricing, and risk assessment to estimate financial outcomes.
Responsibilities- Serve as the main point of contact for a quarterly expense forecast
- Apply knowledge of mathematics, probability, statistics, and principles of finance and business to predict financial outcomes
- Develop and maintain forecast assumptions and models based on deep analysis of statistical data and market trends
- Analyze and evaluate business risks and opportunities
- Research and analyze the impact from legislative and regulatory changes
- Review complex data reports, uncover trends and gaps, and recommend strategic actions to drive results
- Contribute actuarial expertise to the organization’s long‑range financial planning
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of actuarial experience.
Licenses/Certifications:
Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) or equivalent international certification.
Preferred: MAAA designation for bid certification eligibility. ASA or FSA designation required.
Benefits and CompensationSalary Range: $87,700.00 – $ per year. Total compensation may include additional incentive forms and is based on skills, experience, education, and other permissible factors.
