WYDOT is seeking a Temporary Construction Technician in Cheyenne, WY to perform basic construction tasks under supervision to provide a safe and effective transportation system.

Open Until Filled. This is a temporary, full-time position that could last up to 9 months.

• Construction tasks include performing basic lab tests and survey procedures.
• Perform construction inspections.
• Prepare and check computations and data.

Preferences: Preference may be given to individuals who can perform algebraic calculations.

• Knowledge of materials testing.
• Knowledge of surveying methods and equipment operations.
• Knowledge of construction inspection, which includes interpretation of plans and specifications.
• Skill in the use of computers.
• Strong math skills are required.
• Ability to perform algebraic calculations.

• Must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• This position requires working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
• Individuals in this classification must be available for work at any time, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Acceptance of an appointment to this classification signifies that the individual is aware of this requirement and will comply with it.
