OverviewWestern Wyoming Community College seeks an Associate Dean of Health Science and Nursing to provide senior academic and administrative leadership for Health Science and Nursing programs, with primary responsibility for the direction, quality, accreditation, and regulatory compliance of the Nursing Program, serving as the Nursing Program Director as required by state and accrediting bodies.
Minimum Qualifications- Master’s degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Wyoming
- Minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience, including clinical practice
- Minimum of two (2) years of college-level teaching experience
- Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience in nursing education or healthcare
- Knowledge of nursing accreditation, curriculum, and regulatory standards
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills
- Evidence of ongoing professional development
- Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screening test
Equivalency Statement For those candidates who do not exactly meet all minimum qualifications, an equivalent combination of education and experience, which has provided comparable knowledge and abilities, may be accepted.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience serving as a Nursing Program Director or Associate Director
- Experience with accreditation and regulatory reporting
- Experience in community college or rural higher education settings
- Experience with grant development and management
