General Description
The Wyoming Department of Workforce Services and the Wyoming Division of Workers' Compensation strive to provide a continuum of services to our customers, including re‑employment. This position is crucial in supporting the return‑to‑work goal. It builds the foundation for excellent customer service and builds positive relationships through front desk contacts.

- Perform first‑line customer service: greet walk‑ins, answer phones and inquiries, direct customers to appropriate staff.
- Handle various administrative tasks for staff.
- Explain Division policy, procedures, and practices for general non‑case‑specific requests.
- Direct customers to appropriate claims analysts for case‑specific information.
- Monitor and maintain fax machines, copiers, and office printers.
- Distribute printed material appropriately.
- Troubleshoot and determine need for professional technical assistance.
- Receive, date‑stamp, and distribute incoming correspondence from walk‑ins, Fed Ex, and UPS, signing for documents as necessary.
- Process outgoing correspondence for mail or Fed Ex.
- Dispose of confidential printed information.
- Research and retrieve information from case files using Coresuite and imaging systems.
- Schedule medical appointments and prepare medical documentation for inclusion with the appointment.
- Assist with file reproduction for appellate process and research, and respond to record requests from other entities.
- Associate's Degree in Business Office Communications.
- 2–4 years of progressive work experience in Business Office Communications.
- Applicable federal, state, and local laws, codes, regulations, policies, technical processes, and procedures related to the Division of Workers' Compensation.
- Techniques for providing a high level of customer service.

Physical Working Conditions- Employee may sit comfortably to perform the work; occasional walking, standing, bending, carrying light items, and driving may be required.
- Specific physical demands are not required to perform the work.
- FLSA:
Non‑Exempt - Full‑time, 40‑hour‑per‑week position.
- This is an at‑will Employee Contract position with limited State Benefits.
- Former State of Wyoming employees who are rehired less than 31 days after their final day must repay all leave payouts.
