Position Overview
A well‑respected hospital in the Bronx, NY is seeking an experienced PACU RN to join their post‑anesthesia care team. This assignment offers a stable weekday schedule, strong weekly pay, and the opportunity to work in a fast‑paced recovery environment caring for diverse surgical populations. Ideal for a nurse who excels in critical thinking, rapid assessment, and patient stabilization.
Requirements

• Active New York RN license

• Current BLS (AHA)

• Minimum 2 years of recent PACU experience

• Must have Flu Vaccine or be willing to obtain it

• Strong post‑operative assessment and airway management skills

• Ability to work collaboratively with anesthesia, surgeons, and perioperative teams
Responsibilities

• Provide immediate post‑anesthesia care for surgical patients

• Monitor vital signs, airway status, pain levels, and recovery progression

• Administer medications and interventions per provider orders

• Educate patients and families during the recovery process

• Maintain accurate documentation and follow all PACU protocols

• Support a high‑volume perioperative department with varied case types
