Advocates of guest experience who welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction, loyalty enrollment and store cleanliness. Advocates of both in-store and digital services and solutions who are knowledgeable about capabilities and features that drive adoption and guest loyalty. Empowered to make shopping quick and easy for guests at the checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up while ensuring exceptional quality.

• Communicating and interacting with guests to build a welcoming guest experience
• Blending problem solving and decision making to positively impact the guest experience and resolve guest concerns
• Adapting to different guest interactions and situations
• Promoting and engaging around various benefits, offerings and services

• Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete your daily tasks
• Engage with guests to help solve their specific needs
• Make guests aware of current promos, store activities and events
• Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store and in your area to solve issues and improve guest experience
• Thank guests and convey appreciation for shopping at Target
• Explain Target Loyalty programs and assist with application or sign-up as needed
• Scan and bag items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices
• Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
• Demonstrate how to use Target App features including Wallet; be familiar with Order Pick-Up, Drive Up, and online ordering
• Assist with returns following register prompts; partner with leaders as needed per policies
• Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area and stock supplies during store hours
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance
• Work safely; comply with safety policies and training; report hazards
• Support guest services such as Order Pick Up, Drive-Up orders and returns, and maintain compliance with applicable laws
• All other duties based on business needs

• You are open to a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays and peak times

The Good News Our training will teach you what you need to know to be a Guest Advocate. There are a few skills to have from the start:

• Effective communication and attentive guest service
• Welcoming attitude toward guests and team members
• Attention to detail and prioritizing tasks
• Willingness to educate guests about products and services
• Ability to operate handheld scanners and technology, work independently and with a team
• Ability to stay focused in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks

• Accurate checkout operations and support for cash office duties as needed
• Safe handling and movement of merchandise (lifting up to 10 pounds frequently; up to 44 pounds occasionally)
• Flexible schedule (nights, weekends, holidays); reliable attendance
• Mobility for the duration of a shift
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and conditions with Drive-Up, carryout, etc.
