Buyer - Wyoming Area

Salary Range: $53,000 - $80,000 depending on experience

• Source, evaluate, and select new suppliers for raw materials and components.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery terms with vendors.
• Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery of materials.
• Monitor inventory levels to optimize stock and prevent production delays.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams on material specifications.
• Identify and implement cost reduction strategies without compromising quality or supply.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements for purchased goods.

• 3+ years of direct purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for procurement functions.
• Demonstrated strong negotiation and vendor relationship management skills.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, blueprints, and engineering drawings.
• Solid understanding of supply chain principles, inventory management, and logistics.

• Experience with international sourcing and import/export logistics.
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Relevant professional certification (e.g., CPSM, CSCP, CPIM).
• Proficiency in advanced data analysis tools for spend analysis and supplier performance.
