About the Opportunity
A rapidly growing precision manufacturing company is hiring a CNC Programmer/Process Engineer with strong Swiss lathe expertise. This is a role for someone who loves being on the floor, solving problems in real time, and building high-performance machining processes for aerospace-grade components.
You’ll be the go-to professional for programming, tooling, process development, and operator support. If you’re passionate about Swiss machining, tight tolerances, and optimizing production for speed and accuracy — this is your playground.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Program, optimize, and troubleshoot Swiss-style CNC lathes using Esprit, Mastercam, or equivalent software.
- Develop machining strategies, tool paths, and setups for complex aerospace parts.
- Interpret detailed aerospace blueprints, GD&T, and customer specs with precision.
- Select tools, holders, fixtures, and cutting parameters to maximize output and quality.
- Work side-by-side with operators to train, support, and elevate machining performance.
- Improve processes to reduce cycle times, minimize scrap, and increase machine uptime.
- Ensure full compliance with AS9100/ISO 9001 requirements, documentation, and FAI standards.
What They’re Looking For
- 3+ years of CNC programming with proven Swiss lathe experience (Citizen, Star, Tsugami, Tornos, etc.).
- Strong command of CAD/CAM programming — Esprit or Mastercam preferred, others welcome.
- Deep understanding of G-code/M-code and multi-axis machining.
- Experience in aerospace, defense, or other tight-tolerance machining environments.
- Solid knowledge of GD&T, first article inspection, and machining best practices.
- A hands‑on problem solver who enjoys collaborating with operators and engineering teams.
- Strong communication skills, process-driven mindset, and commitment to quality.
Why You’ll Love It Here
- You own the CNC process — programming, tooling, and continuous improvement.
- Fast-growing company with room to advance into leadership or technical specialist roles.
- Zero bureaucracy — decisions get made quickly.
- Work on precision aerospace components where craftsmanship matters.
- Competitive pay, full benefits, and a team that respects engineering talent.
