About the OpportunityA rapidly growing precision manufacturing company is hiring a CNC Programmer/Process Engineer with strong Swiss lathe expertise. This role is for someone who loves being on the floor, solving problems in real time, and building high‑performance machining processes for aerospace‑grade components.
What You’ll Be Doing- Program, optimize, and troubleshoot Swiss‑style CNC lathes using Esprit, Mastercam, or equivalent software.
- Develop machining strategies, tool paths, and setups for complex aerospace parts.
- Interpret detailed aerospace blueprints, GD&T, and customer specs with precision.
- Select tools, holders, fixtures, and cutting parameters to maximize output and quality.
- Work side‑by‑side with operators to train, support, and elevate machining performance.
- Improve processes to reduce cycle times, minimize scrap, and increase machine uptime.
- Ensure full compliance with AS9100/ISO 9001 requirements, documentation, and FAI standards.
- 3+ years of CNC programming with proven Swiss lathe experience (Citizen, Star, Tsugami, Tornos, etc.).
- Strong command of CAD/CAM programming — Esprit or Mastercam preferred, others welcome.
- Deep understanding of G‑code/M‑code and multi‑axis machining.
- Experience in aerospace, defense, or other tight‑tolerance machining environments.
- Solid knowledge of GD&T, first article inspection, and machining best practices.
- A hands‑on problem solver who enjoys collaborating with operators and engineering teams.
- Strong communication skills, process‑driven mindset, and commitment to quality.
- You own the CNC process — programming, tooling, and continuous improvement.
