Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret spoken language into sign language and vice versa to assist students, teachers, and staff during classroom instruction and school events.
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to ensure accurate and timely communication.
- Accompany students and staff to various locations within the school and during occasional travel as required.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional ethical standards.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with strong interpreting skills.
- Experience working in educational environments preferred.
- Ability to travel locally for assignments within the region.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Patience, adaptability, and dedication to supporting diverse learners.
- Based in Wyoming, Michigan, with assignments primarily within local school settings and occasional travel.
