Malignant Hematologist – Grand Rapids, MI – MD/DO
University of Michigan Health-West is seeking a full‑time Hematology/Oncology MD/DO to join our expanding, multidisciplinary cancer care team. The role will coordinate care for patients with hematologic malignancies, including leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma, and collaborate with a broad network of specialists throughout West Michigan.
- Work closely with a partnering team of specialists encompassing 37+ specialty service lines to provide exceptional care to patients with hematologic malignancies.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including oncologists, surgeons, radiologists, and advanced practice providers—to develop individualized treatment plans.
- Conduct and participate in clinical research, contributing to the advancement of malignant hematology and maintaining up‑to‑date knowledge of emerging therapies and clinical trial opportunities for patients.
- Educate and mentor medical students, residents, and advanced practice providers, and develop strong relationships with patients and their families, providing emotional support and guidance throughout their treatment journey.
- Participate in tumor board meetings and provide expert consultation to other healthcare providers.
- Serve in an academic hybrid model of care within an extensive Cancer Network serving much of the West Michigan region.

Applicants must hold an MD or DO, be board‑eligible or board‑certified in Hematology/Oncology, and have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the management of hematologic malignancies. Demonstrated experience in cancer research, clinical trial participation, and commitment to patient‑centered care are highly desirable.
