The Associate Director of Commercial Pricing is a critical leadership role responsible for developing and executing pricing strategies that maximize revenue, optimize market competitiveness, and align with Padagis’ commercial objectives. This position will play a key role in helping the business achieve sustainable growth while ensuring alignment with industry regulations and market realities.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the generic pharmaceutical market, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced and complex environment. Job Duties- Pricing Strategy Development
:
Develop and implement competitive pricing strategies for the company’s product portfolio, ensuring alignment with business goals, market trends, and regulatory requirements. - Market & Competitive Analysis
:
Monitor and analyze market dynamics, competitor activities, and pricing behaviors to identify opportunities and mitigate risks. - Revenue Optimization
:
Lead pricing initiatives to enhance profitability while balancing customer satisfaction and long‑term growth objectives. - Collaboration with Sales and Marketing
:
Partner with Sales and Marketing teams to design promotional pricing structures, volume‑based discounts, or customer‑specific contracts tailored to business needs. - Data-Driven Decision Making
:
Utilize advanced analytics and predictive modeling to establish pricing forecasts and provide actionable insights to guide business decisions. - Compliance Assurance
:
Ensure all pricing activities adhere to regulatory standards and legal requirements within the generic pharmaceutical industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- 8-10 years of experience in pricing, finance, or related roles, with at least 5 years in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Proven track record of developing successful pricing strategies and achieving revenue objectives.
- Demonstrated expertise in generic pricing models and key external and internal price points (e.g. AWP, WAC, contract price, dead net, fees, and rebates), as well as typical large customer expectations / structures for pricing models.
- In-depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical market, including competitive intelligence, channel dynamics, and payer landscape.
- Strong analytical skills; proficiency in advanced Excel, pricing tools, and analytics software.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to develop and implement long‑term pricing strategies that align with organizational goals.
- Exceptional ability to leverage data and analytics for insight‑driven pricing decisions.
- Strong understanding of the generic pharma market and its competitive landscape.
- Proven ability to work effectively across departments and build stakeholder alignment.
- Capability to troubleshoot complex pricing challenges and navigate ambiguous situations.
- Understanding of customer needs and the ability to balance customer satisfaction with business objectives.
- Knowledge of compliance requirements within the generic pharma industry.
