The Senior Accountant plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to a collaborative finance team while helping shape the financial future of an employee-owned company.

Senior Accountant Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities
• Manage general ledger accuracy and ensure timely financial reporting
• Support the Assistant Controller and Controller with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Coordinate with external auditors and support annual audit and tax filings
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls
• Contribute to ESOP-related financial reporting and employee ownership communications
• Analyze cost accounting data and support inventory valuation and margin analysis (can train on)
• Fixed Assets (can train on)
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, HR, and leadership teams

Senior Accountant Education & Desired Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing
• Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles
• Experience with ERP systems and Excel skills
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication abilities
• Passion for employee ownership and collaborative work environments
