Building Maintenance oversees a team of maintenance technicians responsible for the maintenance and repair of guest cottages, cabins, and lodge rooms. This role ensures work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. This position can perform advanced tasks on boiler equipment, electric motors, refrigeration & heating equipment, commercial laundry equipment, food service equipment, etc.
The supervisor provides technical guidance, schedules tasks, and supports continuous improvement initiatives.

- Perform advanced skilled crafts in one or more specialties such as electrical, plumbing, boiler work, electrical motor repair, etc.
- Perform various refrigeration, plumbing, heating & cooling duties; assist in purchasing, installation, repair and maintenance of fixtures; diagnose and repair electric ignition systems for heaters, furnaces, hot water heaters, and commercial laundry equipment.
- Hire, train, and supervise daily activities of 10-12 maintenance technicians, ensuring timely and quality completion of work orders.
- Troubleshoot maintenance issues and provide hands-on support to the mechanical manager.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Support the department in all matters of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and technician productivity.
- Coordinate with other engineering teams to support facility needs.
- Assist technicians; foster skill development and adherence to best practices.
- Support the department with capital projects and equipment upgrades as needed.
- Participate in the EMOD rotation.
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in mechanical engineering or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial machinery.
- Proficient in reading technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- OSHA or other safety certifications are a plus.

The expected pay range is $52,000. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
