The Credit Admin Manager will provide oversight and leadership for the loan department staff, monitor processes for continuous improvement, efficacy, and compliance with applicable regulations, and focus on loan quality control objectives that align with the bank’s goals. The role involves managing projects to support overall credit quality and ensuring adherence to policy and procedure.
Essential Functions- Work closely with and provide support to the Senior Credit Officer and Loan Operating Manager.
- Assist Credit Analysts and Loan Support Specialists in managing and supporting credit quality objectives.
- Manage and support system operations such as nCino, Built, Quality Control Functions, 1071 Loan register, pipeline management, CRA register, Great Data, appraisal support, and analyst support.
- Identify and suggest improvements to underwriting procedures, emphasizing policy compliance.
- Provide feedback on Loan Policy and Procedure to the Division Chief Credit Officer (CCO).
- Collaborate with GBCI auditors, external auditing firms, and bank examiners to gather information for examinations.
- Review updates to loan programs, regulations, policies, and documentation; communicate changes to the CCO.
- Attend loan committees as required and provide structural feedback.
- Review credit authorizations and produce credit memos for the CCO in nCino.
- Oversee loan quality assurance, tickler management, and loan reports.
- Manage problem loan reports and enforce action plans for credit upgrades or exits.
- Collaborate with leads in Commercial, Consumer, Loan Operations, Appraisal, and Special Assets.
- Interface with loan review, regulators, compliance, and auditors as needed.
- Support overall credit quality management and address emerging needs within credit and loan departments.
- Maintain general knowledge of bank products and services.
- Communicate openly with supervisors, share suggestions, and promote teamwork.
- Complete required bank training courses within assigned timelines.
- Comply with all company policies, regulations, and applicable laws, including BSA, Patriot Act, and OFAC.
- Adhere to First State Bank’s Corporate Culture.
- Inform management of significant area activities and problems.
- Participate in community service and bank-sponsored activities.
- Deliver superior internal and external customer service with a professional demeanor.
- Represent the bank professionally, maintaining privacy and confidentiality.
- Keep the work area tidy and attend required meetings.
- Participate in training, staff meetings, and lobby displays.
- Maintain reliable and regular attendance.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- 5–8 years of similar or related experience, including preparatory work.
- Bachelor’s degree required; an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.

Physical RequirementsEmployee may be required to sit, stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, use office equipment, and perform routine computer work. Regular attendance, occasional travel, and occasional stair climbing may be necessary.
