Bechtel is the licensing, engineering, procurement, and construction partner on Terra Power s Natrium team. Selected by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) for its Advanced Reactor Demonstration Program, Natrium is participating in a DOE initiative to re-establish U.S. leadership in nuclear energy that provides matching funding to industry to design and build an operational advanced reactor. Terra Power, a leading advanced generation technology company founded by former Microsoft CEO Bill Gates, will be deploying its 345 MWe sodium fast reactor (SFR), called Natrium.

The Natrium plant features an advanced, cost-competitive reactor design that is safer, simpler, easier, less costly to construct, less expensive to operate, and able to provide energy that is competitive with fossil fuels. It also features an innovative molten salt energy storage system designed to be complementary to solar and wind power by evening out the peaks and valleys in production when the sun is not shining, or the wind is not blowing.

With the reactor and energy storage output combined, the plant can produce more than 500 MWe of power.

In this role, you will lead a team and supervise Superintendents/ Site Supervision, Field engineering, other support organizations (Safety, Quality, Project Controls, etc.) on project to support work execution to meet budget and schedule. You will coordinate craft professional activities and work schedules, and subcontract work activities and team development. Your oversight will ensure craft professionals have the tools required to be productive, comply with project policies, procedures, and job site work rules and procedures, and perform within specifications, schedules, and budgets.

This position will be assigned to the Kemmerer Unit 1 Balance of Plant. You will be responsible for coordination and schedule management of the construction of various buildings, a mix of direct hire and subcontract design and build, across the balance of the KU1 including fit out ready for turnover to the owner/operator. #LI-CL1

Leadership/Supervision

• Supervises and coordinates craft activities, subbordinate superintendents, and others, as assigned.
• Schedules work to be performed and reviews woek accomplished by each craft.
• Management and supervision of Subcontractors.

Planning/Producitivity

• Manages project cost and schedule performance.
• Determines workforce requirements.
• Coordinates established area operational plans.

Tools, Materials, and Equipment

• Oversees tool and equipment usage onsite.
• Manages the preperation of Field Material Requisition s for tools and consumables and ensures that the craft professionals have the tools they reuqire to be productive.
• Coordinates with Procurement and Project Controls teams to ensure supply of equipment and materials meets project schedule.

Safety and Qualitity

• Champion of the requirements of the Bechtel Environmental, Safety and Health (ES&H) Core Processes and Bechtel's "Zero Accidents" philosophy.
• Must have knowledge and understanding of Bechtel's Standard Work Process Procedures (SWPPs) and/or Nuclear Work Process Procedures (NWPPS).
• Ensures the most current design document is used to complete the work and that construction execution is in compiance with specifications.
• Ensures that all design changes are approved prior to implementation.

Technical

• Works with Construction Field Engineers, Foreman, and Craft Professionals, in interpreting Engineering design documents, vendor documents, and other technical documents.
• Manages enginerring solutions with Subcontractors, Foreman and Craft Professionals.
• Manages compliant implementation of the change control process including ensuring trends are developed for all subproject impacts and opportunities.
• Keeps senior projects management informed of project status, highlighting deviations from plans and anticipating and escalating potential problem areas.

• Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 13-15years of relevant experience or 17-19 years of relevant work experience.
