Tongue River High School is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Long-Term Substitute Teacher to teach high school science courses during an extended teacher absence. The successful candidate will provide continuity of instruction, maintain a positive classroom environment, and support student learning in alignment with district and state standards.

• Physical Science
• Physics
• Chemistry

• Deliver lesson plans and instructional materials in collaboration with the classroom teacher
• Teach science content using a variety of instructional strategies
• Maintain classroom routines, expectations, and behavior management
• Assess student work and provide feedback as directed
• Communicate professionally with students, staff, and administration
• Follow school policies and procedures
• Foster a safe, respectful, and engaging learning environment

• Valid teaching license or substitute teaching certification (per state requirements)
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to explain scientific concepts clearly and effectively
• Prior experience teaching or substituting at the secondary level preferred

• Comfortable working with high school–level science content
• Ability to follow existing curriculum and pacing guides
• Organized, dependable, and flexible
