Assistant Lecturer - School of Politics, Public Affairs, and International Studies – Public LawJOB PURPOSE:
The University of Wyoming’s School of Politics, Public Affairs, and International Studies (SPPAIS) invites applications for a full-time, benefited one-year non-tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Lecturer in the area of Public Law.
Minimum qualifications include a Masters degree to teach in the following areas:
Constitutional Law (Civil Liberties, Institutional Powers, etc), Introduction to American and Wyoming Government, and other classes related to Public Law as needed by the department.
In addition, the candidate will also engage in service-related duties such as helping to revamp the online Intro to American & Wyoming Government courses (including creating videos and developing curriculum), assisting with the recruitment of students and participating in public events, presentation of research (if applicable), and other service-related duties as needed by the department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Teach a 3/3 course load for the academic year.
- Teach effectively at both graduate and undergraduate levels.
- Engage in service activities related to the department which could include (but are not limited to) assisting with revising the online Introduction to American & Wyoming Government classes, curricular development, recruitment of students, participating in public events related to the 250th anniversary of the United States, and other service-related duties as needed by the department.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:- Masters Degree in Political Science or a closely-related field.
- Prior teaching experience at the college level.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior experience with online course development.
- PhD (or ABD near completion of the PhD) in Political Science or a closely-related field or a Juris Doctor (J.D.).
