Location: Wamsutter
Pipeline Construction Manager I, II, or III – Upstream
Join Williams as a Pipeline Construction Manager at various seniority levels (I, II, III). This role focuses on the planning, coordination, and execution of natural gas pipeline projects with safety as the highest priority.
Responsibilities/Expectations:
- Accountable for front‑end construction planning, estimate development and analysis, and contract management.
- Provides input in QA/QC staffing plans, construction cost/schedule management and liaison activities with stakeholders; proactively identifies and implements cost savings.
- Provides input on contracting strategy and contractor qualification/selection.
- Reviews contractor schedules, execution plans, and extra work claims.
- Develops and manages construction progress reporting.
- Performs audits of inspection processes and documentation requirements.
- Assists in construction closeout; material management before, during, and after construction.
- Provides on‑site leadership to inspection team.
- Works closely with Land, Regulatory, and Engineering teams to complete pipeline construction feasibility studies and determine routing for new pipelines.
- Participates in the design process with Engineering and Operations teams.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education & Years of Experience (per level):
- Level III:
High School Diploma/GED, minimum 6 years related experience, CCM (CMAA) Certification. Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science or Construction Management. - Level II:
High School Diploma/GED, minimum 3 years related experience, CDT (CSI) Certification. Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science or Construction Management. - Level I:
High School Diploma/GED and CDT (CSI) Certification. Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science or Construction Management.
Physical and Environmental Work Requirements:
- Work in extreme temperatures, loud noises, enclosed spaces.
- Carry or lift items up to 50 lbs; team lift loads >50 lbs as needed.
- Stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, squat for long periods.
- Work at elevated levels (man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, small towers) with appropriate PPE.
- Use hand tools.
Other Requirements:
- Valid state driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills; safety as utmost priority.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and PC skills.
