Job Description

Eurofins Environment Testing is looking for a Project Manager I in our Arvada location to provide client services. The Project Manager I (PM I) is accountable for coordinating and managing clients’ projects through all phases of laboratory operations, including project set-up and maintenance, login review, communication of analytical issues, client account maintenance, reporting, invoicing, bottle orders, client pickups, and identification of work share facilities.

The PM I role fosters and develops client relationships in support of the laboratory mission.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Project Set-up
  • Review project in LIMS and set up project.
  • Add any project notes (special reporting and invoicing instructions, etc.).
  • Review project documentation (permits, SOW, QAPP, purchase/task orders).
  • Store project documentation in central repository.
  • Set up client for Total Access.
  • Manage purchase orders, task orders, contracts, and change order requests.
  • Verify lab compound lists and limits meet project requirements for new projects not quoted.
  • Add project‑specific limits/lists to LIMS.
  • Assign deliverable and delivery route.
  • Confirm EDD format is available; if not, submit helpdesk ticket.
  • Communicate project details to operations.
  • Initiate project kick‑off call with client and relevant staff.
  • Engage work‑share labs, service centers, and non‑Eurofins locations as needed for new projects not quoted.
  • Work with operations to ensure adequate capacity for incoming work (forecasting).
  • Provide updates to operations on upcoming work.
  • Maintain familiarity with state and national program requirements as they pertain to work mix.
  • Create bottle orders and schedule courier or field sampler if needed.
  • Confirm non‑Eurofins subcontract labs are on the approved list and set up as vendors for new or existing work.
  • Initiate approval process for any subcontract labs not on the approved list.
  • Generate subcontract paperwork and accounting software requisition when sending subcontract samples.
  • Verify lab certification meets project requirements.
  • Provide supporting documentation to client as needed (contact list, bottle table with preservation, etc.).
Sample Receipt
  • Communicate any issues to clients for the duration of the project.
  • Manage incoming work for rush and short holds.
  • Review log‑in and resolve issues with the client.
  • Inform client of any log‑in discrepancies.
  • Set samples to “available” after review.
  • Send client sample receipt confirmation.
  • Review draft invoice and confirm that all required client information is recorded in LIMS for invoicing.
Reporting
  • Address client‑specific report requirements.
  • Review job list daily and manage due dates.
  • Communicate expected delays to clients before the job due date.
  • Confirm data anomalies (filtered > dissolved, deviations from historicals, etc.) with operations before submission to client.
