Henry Ford Health System is seeking an experienced Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Adult Psychiatry unit at Wyandotte Hospital. This role provides compassionate, high-quality psychiatric nursing care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to support patient safety, recovery, and therapeutic outcomes.

• Deliver comprehensive psychiatric nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation)
• Coordinate and supervise patient care activities while ensuring accurate documentation
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
• Participate in patient de-escalation techniques and psychiatric assessments
• Assist in identifying and resolving variances in patient care goals
• Uphold hospital policies, safety standards, and quality-of-care expectations

Shifts:

12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

• Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday
• Wednesday, Thursday
• Alternate schedules including Sunday, Thursday, Friday
• Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday

• De-escalation training
• Cross-training in Psychiatric Assessment Services

Billable after 48 hours

Required

• Active Michigan RN License
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
• BLS Certification
• Strong psychiatric clinical skills and communication abilities

Preferred

• BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing)
