Academy Performance Analyst | Wrexham AFC (Jobs in Sports Performance Analysis)

The role is to provide Wrexham AFC Academy coaches and players with a performance analysis support programme. This programme will aim to enhance the teams overall performance, aid individual player development, improve efficiency and player learning that places emphasis of the clubs playing philosophy.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work alongside coaching staff to develop and understand the playing philosophy of the club.
  • Develop video and Data resources to support coaches in the delivery of the Academy Curriculum, maintain analysis records, video clips and Databases for education and technical/tactical analysis in match scenarios and training
  • Objectively review player and team performance within the match and training sessions in collaboration with coaching staff with a strong emphasis on monitoring both individual and collective progress throughout the season.
  • Deliver formal feedback sessions to coaches and players as individuals, units or whole team utilising video or data.
  • Analysis of opposition teams to support match preparation.
  • Share information with key partners, as requested through Head of Coaching or Phase Leads such as National coaches to support selection for national teams and/or individual player development.
  • Attend mandatory FAW Performance Analysis workshops over the course of the season as a form of CPD
About The Candidate EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
  • BSc (Hons) Performance Analysis or equivalent
  • Level 2 coaching award or equivalent
  • Previous experience in football analysis environment
PERSONAL SPECIFICATION – SKILLS / ABILITIES REQUIRED
  • Experience of analysing individual and team sports training / performance pre and post matches / training
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with players, MDT and coaches in a professional manner
  • Demonstrate reliable and effective management capabilities to maintain high standards of performance and teamwork
  • Ability to work in a high pressurised environment with a flexible approach to working hours and job role
  • Attention to detail, organisation and time management skills

    Adaptability to changing environment at short notice
  • Ability to set and maintain high personal and professional standards.
  • Evidence of being a strong team player.
  • Competent use of IT programmes and online systems and high level competence in all standard analysis software programmes for football and athlete analysis (Hudl Platforms, Wyscout, Statsbomb, sports code etc
  • Ability to present key data and visual information to coaches and players as required.
