Our team plays a critical role in managing children subject to Child Protection, Public Law Outline, and those in care, ensuring immediate and effective responses to safeguarding matters through collaborative and proactive interventions.

What you will do:
  • Participate actively in the duty system, responding to urgent safeguarding matters and supporting the allocated worker.
  • Manage an allocated caseload of social work interventions, escalating complex issues as required.
  • Conduct assessments and crisis planning, ensuring risk assessment and proportionate response.
  • Collaborate with families and professionals to assess needs, identify risks, and ensure protection and support.
  • Devise evidence-based plans, providing professional support and decisions for individuals and families.
  • Engage in reflective practice, using supervision for complex cases and continuing your professional development.
  • Transfer cases to the court team post-initial looked after review.
Requirements:
  • Degree or equivalent in social work.
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Significant frontline experience in UK Social Services.
