As a Senior Merchandiser, you won’t just manage a category — you’ll shape it. You’ll play a strategic role in driving commercial performance, strengthening global supplier partnerships, and influencing the next phase of our international growth.

Working cross‑functionally with Directors, Managers and teams across the business, you’ll have the autonomy, ownership and commercial responsibility to make a genuine impact. This is an opportunity to take the lead in a business that’s ambitious, fast‑moving and ready for its next big step.

What You’ll Do
  • Establish, build and maintain relationships with core suppliers and shareholders, ensuring a strong business relationship
  • Negotiate the best cost prices, lead times and payment terms with suppliers
  • Produce stock and sales performance reports, highlighting opportunities to drive sales
  • Manage pricing across categories to achieve a competitive position without compromising profitability
  • Maximize product performance through strong understanding of your range, competitors and the wider retail market
  • Work with internal stakeholders and build cross‑department relationships to maximize sales, profit and efficient stock management
  • Identify and introduce improved products, checking reviews and refund reports
  • Identify and propose improved working practices and support development/training of newer team members
What You’ll Bring
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar fast‑paced role, with buying/purchasing experience essential
  • Experience supervising or providing guidance/support to junior team members
  • Experience managing overseas suppliers, typically from the East Asia region
  • Strong negotiation skills and commercial awareness, identifying trends and stock impact
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills, highly proficient in Excel and Microsoft programs
  • Ability to extract data and develop strong awareness of business systems
  • Ability to work proactively and re‑actively in a fast‑paced environment and remain calm under pressure
  • Highly organised, self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, with strong communication skills and good knowledge of WSSI and category planning
