Hydraquip are the UK’s largest independent onsite hose replacement company, offering a 24/7 365-day service nationwide. We have been established for over 30 years and have ambitious plans for further growth in the coming years. Our hydraulic trade counters carry a comprehensive stock of fluid power products from stock to offer an instant over the counter response, with access to 70,000+ products available for next day delivery.

Each hydraulic trade counter has been built with dedicated production facilities to allow the manufacture of a one‑off, or high volumes of hydraulic hose assemblies with optional testing, labelling, bagging or including them into multi‑component kits.

Our Branch Assistant are hands‑on and work closely with the Branch Manager and in day‑to‑day depot operations. A part of your day will be serving both new and existing customers from our busy trade counter, always delivering excellent service and driving sales where possible. You will be using our computer system to locate stock & process customer orders and provide timely and accurate quotations.

Your duties will also include:

• Assisting with customer enquiries either face to face or on the phone/email.
• Processing of sales orders & quotations.
• Identifying, sourcing & component selections for projects.
• Assisting with depot stock control levels, re‑ordering and assisting with stock taking.
• Day‑to‑day operation of the hydraulic trade counter.
• Assisting with the promotion of products and services.
• Providing prompt, friendly customer service to the highest standards, producing quotes/sales orders in a timely manner.
• Completing general administration duties, including Goods In/ Goods Out.
• Keeping the branch up to H&S standards, good housekeeping throughout the branch and assisting with requests from senior members of staff.
• Coordinating a small number of mobile breakdown vans directly from the branch.

You will need a hands‑on, customer‑focused approach, be confident and happy to serve customers on a busy trade counter, and proactively engage with current and potential future customers. As a Branch Assistant, you will have had previous experience in a similar customer‑facing role, perhaps in another industry.

Must be enthusiastic, eager to learn, be an active and essential member of a team, able to work well on your own, trustworthy and honest.

Whilst not essential, previous knowledge of hydraulic & pneumatic components will be a distinct advantage.

Driving licence is essential, as from time to time we may also need you to assist with deliveries to our customers/engineers.
