The Senior Staff Nurse in Critical Care will be responsible for ensuring a high level of patient care at all times throughout the unit. They will be actively involved in, as well as supervising, patient care, managing unplanned admissions and ensuring accurate staffing levels. They will need to be-length confident in leading the unit in the absence of senior management and be involved in the supervision and development of junior team members.
The successful candidate will be part of a real team, able to communicate clearly with those around them and have a calm approach to problem solving. They will be committed to creating an environment of continuous improvement and learning to ensure the highest possible standards of care are maintained at all times. Finally, they will demonstrate a passion for a patient‑centred approach by keeping the department organised and professional at all times.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post;

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board operates three Hospital sites with a total of 33 Critical Care beds, delivering care for all unscheduled care and a broad range of surgical specialities.
