Job Description

Based in North Wales, join a leading European manufacturing organisation renowned for innovative technologies and award-winning operations. As our Software Engineer, you will support and develop OT applications, integrate automation systems, and play a key role in driving smart factory and Industry 4.0 digital transformation initiatives.

£35,000 - £40,000

You’ll be working from our office based in Wrexham.

Chester, Deeside, Oswestry, Ellesmere, Whitchurch, Crewe, Shrewsbury, Mold, Rhyl, Nantwich

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain OT applications and automation systems
• Configure and deploy SCADA, HMI, and MES systems across production environments
• Develop automation scripts and PLC logic for industrial control systems
• Build and integrate custom OT applications using C# and web-based languages/frameworks
• Commission, test, and validate OT applications on production lines
• Integrate OT systems with enterprise IT platforms for analytics, reporting, and IT/OT convergence

• Proficient in C# for application development and system integration, with database knowledge
• Knowledge of PLCs
• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, or a related discipline
• Strong experience with SCADA systems and industrial communication protocols (Modbus, OPC UA, Ethernet/IP)
• Able to work under pressure to tight deadlines across multiple projects
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
