Role And Responsibilities
  • To maintain, repair and fault‑find on plant and machinery using various maintenance disciplines.
  • Contribute toward machine efficiency and development programmes using existing maintenance programmes and CI methodologies including 5‑why analysis.
  • Complete preventative maintenance inspections and identify and implement action plans needed to stop re‑occurring faults.
  • Completion of risk assessments and equipment isolation procedures.
Knowledge, Skills And Experience
  • The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience working as a maintenance technician in a busy, high‑volume manufacturing environment. Having completed a recognised apprenticeship in a suitable discipline and ideally educated to HNC level.
  • The candidate will be mechanically biased but will also have experience in both mechanical and electrical disciplines.
  • The candidate must be experienced in fault‑finding and repairs in hydraulic and pneumatic systems, servicing and repair of gearboxes and other large mechanical equipment, workshop skills including welding, fabrication and use of workshop equipment including a lathe, milling machine and pillar drill.
