Position: Corporate Performance Manager

This is an exciting time to join Bridgend County Borough Council in the role of Performance Manager. We are seeking a highly experienced individual to provide leadership and management of the corporate performance team with responsibility for setting, implementing, and reviewing the Council's strategic and operational objectives.

Role and responsibilities

In this role you will co-ordinate the development and review of the council's Corporate Plan  "Delivering Together" and monitor its delivery ensuring we meet statutory and regulatory requirements and to make certain the council's Delivery Plan and Directorate Business Plans maintain alignment with our ambitious vision for the future. You will be at the centre of driving continuous improvement across the authority.

You will be joining an enthusiastic and dedicated workforce who are deeply committed to the council and the communities we serve, as noted in our recent Panel Performance Assessment (PPA). This role plays an important part in taking forward the recommendations of the PPA and helping us achieve our untapped potential. This role also supports the development of the new Transformation Strategy and process of service level self-evaluations to ensure all we do aligns with corporate priorities and values.

Requirements and expectations

The ability to conduct a basic conversation through the medium of Welsh is a requirement for this post.

The council's Hybrid Working Policy applies to this post. This provides a framework for establishing how you will undertake working hours between your home and the office.
