Position: Senior Radiographer (Deputy to P. Ops)

Deputy to Principal Operations Radiographer

Main duties of the job

Support Operational Delivery:
Work closely with the Principal Operations Radiographers to ensure a high‑quality, patient‑centred radiology service.

Maintain and Improve Standards:
Lead by example in setting clinical and professional standards. Participate in audits and service reviews to identify and implement improvements.

Supervise and Develop Staff:
Provide supervision, assessment, and training for staff, students, and visitors, ensuring adherence to BCUHB policies, radiology protocols, and professional standards.

Foster Collaborative Working:
Promote effective communication and teamwork across departments, helping to resolve local operational issues as they arise.

Undertake Line Management Duties:
Support delegated responsibilities including return‑to‑work interviews, appraisals, and daily staff allocation.

This role requires excellent communication skills and a sound understanding of IR(ME)
R and IRR
17 regulations. It offers an excellent development opportunity for those aspiring to senior leadership roles.
