Overview

Are you a dietitian looking to develop your skills in an exciting dietetic department? We are based in North East Wales and serve Wrexham, Flintshire and North Wales in partnership with Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. We welcome quality improvement initiatives and will support you in exploring improved and more effective ways of working. The department delivers clinical placements for students and is part of a wider Dietetic Team across three Areas of BCUHB.

Applications are welcome from student dietitians in their final year, with the option to start at Band 4 while waiting for HCPC registration.

The post holder will contribute to the provision of high quality nutrition and dietetic care to the people served within BCUHB by participating in the achievement of the Health Board’s mission and quality objectives, providing high quality, safe, efficient and effective dietetic therapy services within available resources and in accordance with their registration and Code of Practice of the BDA.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post;
Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to delivering high quality nutrition and dietetic care to service users.
  • Participate in achieving the Health Board’s mission and quality objectives.
  • Provide safe, efficient and effective dietetic therapy services within available resources and in line with professional registration and the BDA Code of Practice.
  • Support and participate in quality improvement initiatives and ways of working.
  • Support clinical placements for students as part of the Dietetic Team.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Final year student dietitians may be considered; option to start at Band 4 while waiting for HCPC registration.
  • HCPC registration or eligibility (as applicable).
  • Desirable: ability to speak Welsh; applications from Welsh and/or English speakers are welcome.
