We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to support the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of building systems across a small to medium-sized facility. In this role, you will carry out planned and reactive maintenance, support system improvements, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. This position is ideal for someone with a hands‑on approach, strong technical ability, and a desire to develop within a high‑performing engineering team.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver routine and reactive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and building systems.
- Conduct regular inspections, identify potential issues, and carry out appropriate corrective actions.
- Support the installation, upgrade, and modification of building equipment and systems.
- Manage and close out assigned work orders, ensuring accurate documentation and timely completion.
- Assist with energy management by ensuring systems operate efficiently and effectively.
- Perform compliance checks and ensure all works meet building codes and safety regulations.
- Apply established procedures to solve day‑to‑day technical problems.
- Communicate clearly with the wider team and stakeholders, providing updates on progress and issues.
- Contribute to team performance by following set processes, quality standards, and safety protocols.
- Experience working in a Facilities Management/Maintenance Engineering role.
- Experience with Reactive and PPM (Planned Maintenance).
- A Degree/Qualification in either a Electrical or Mechanical discipline.
- Must demonstrate a strong sense of customer focus and commitment to continuous improvement.
- Reliable, self‑motivated, and willing to learn.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey clear, straightforward information.
- Focused on quality, safety, and delivering work to defined standards.
- Able to work well within a team and take direction where needed.
